Over $600,000 settlement obtained from an insurance company in a bad faith failure to defend case. A nationwide insurance company wrongfully denied our client a defense in an underlying case, forcing the client to hire its own lawyers to defend the lawsuit. After months of hard-fought litigation, the insurance company agreed to a substantial settlement.

$400,000 recovered for a business client from an insurance company in case involving fraud and breach of contact.

Represented Experian Information Solutions, Inc., a nationwide credit reporting agency, in a lawsuit against LifeLock, Inc., obtaining summary judgment establishing Experian’s unfair competition claim, (Experian Information Solution, Inc. v. LifeLock, Inc., 633 F.Supp.2d 1044 (C.D. Cal. 2009)) and ultimately resulting in a permanent injunction in Experian’s favor requiring LifeLock to dramatically alter the services it offers to consumers.

Represented real estate investment funds on appeal resulting in reversal of the California Superior Court’s order denying motions to compel dozens of plaintiff claims to arbitration, resulting in a published opinion (Acquire II, LTD v. Colton Real Estate Group, 213 Cal.App.4th 959 (2013)).

Represented R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals resulting in a published decision upholding, in part, the District Court’s order dismissing the plaintiff’s class action claims (Sateriale v. R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., 697 F.3d 777 (9th Cir. 2012)).
